EARLY NOTICE OF THE HOTW
James Inhofe
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
Boy, do we have a lunkhead Republican for you hailing from Oklahoma.
U.S. Senator Inhofe has taken upon himself the odd mission of becoming
the buffoon point man for corporate interests desiring to debunk global
warming.
As detailed in a BuzzFlash analysis this
week, Inhofe has been doing loony things on a daily basis to denounce
the
concept of industrial-caused climate change. Most recently, he tried
to actually "block Al Gore's 'Live Earth' concert
from using the U.S. Capitol building as a venue as planned."
We noted in our commentary that "Without presenting any real science
of his own, Inhofe has mostly just whined that those who deny that
people are impacting the
environment are being ignored and even blacklisted. Inhofe went so
far as to liken those who believe in global warming to Adolf Hitler
and his 'big lie' propaganda technique."
Man, is this
guy over the top of the hypocrisy-lunacy meter?
His motivation appears to be a combination of protecting big business
and a winger fear of "one-world" solutions to global warming. Hey,
Senator Inhofe, have you seen any black UN helicopters circling over
the Capitol
lately?
In American lore, the Heartland is supposed to stand for common sense
and a wholesome environment. Now, Oklahoma sends us a senator who is
antithetical to those values and is just a corporate shill nut job.
Until next week, remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites,
so little time.
Catch up with you soon.
